I had booked a ticket for four people from delhi to bangalore and back, but later i realised that i had made a mistake as the ticket had to be booked for hyderabad. I contacted the customer care of indigo airlines and explained the situation and asked him if the ticket could be modified, but he told me that the ticket would have to be cancelled and a fresh booking would have to be made, despite the fact that i was trying to modify the ticket 45 days before the day of the flight. He also told me that from a booking worth Rs.45, 000 only Rs.31, 000 would be refunded and an additional amount of Rs.1, 600 would be deducted for depositing the amount into my bank account. I was informed that this amount will not be deducted if i dont request a refund and use this amount for another transaction with the airline. I enquired about the procedure for the same but the customer care representative told me that this could be done only through an airline agent, but the defense concession would not be applicable in this case. So i asked the customer care representative about the procedure for booking the flight ticket from my computer such that the amount to be refunded can be used in the booking, but he refused to do so and told me that such a booking cannot be made from my computer, leaving me with the sole option of cancelling the tickets and making a fresh booking. In this way the customer care of the indigo airlines did their best in misleading me so that they can deduct maximum amount from the money to be refunded. Being a regular customer of indigo airlines, i requested for a complete refund of my money as i had contacted them just after 4 days of the original booking and 45 days prior to the flight, but my requests were all but in vain.
