I and my wife have traveled from kolkata to ahmedabad on 26th june 2017 (Pnr - dhzvjh (Sumit jindal) and b69rfy (Chandani jindal).
We had two check-in baggage (One suitcase and one trolley bag). Seal was put in kolkata airport in both the luggage.
When we received the luggage in ahmedabad airport the seal was not there in trolley bag.
We assumed that the same might have broken by mishandling the bag in transit.
But when we unpacked the luggage at home we realised that the jewellery pouch was missing from the bag.
I contacted the call centre and they said you should ha raised the complaint in airport itself.
But i replied how would i know if something is stolen unless i unpack my total luggage.
He said we will register your complaint against your pnr no. Dhzvjh and that shall be reference no. But you will not receive any mail or sms for the same.
Then he called back in 3 mins saying that i enquired in kolkata and ahmedabad airport and they have found no lost baggage.
I said here the case is of stolen article from baggage.
He said we cannot help you in this we don't know who have stolen the pouch as there are lots of staff.
I said make your baggage handling staff responsible for that and penalize them and compensate me.
Also i enquired that this may happen tomorrow to any of the customer and its not possible to carry everything in hand baggage. Even a perfume, shirt, trouser, belt or shoes, costs rs. 2000 to 10000 now a days. Who shall take the responsibility?
He said we cannot help you and assure that this will not happen to you again with indigo airlines.
It means that this may happen to other customers with indigo airlines and to me with some other airlines. How ridiculous?
I want somebody to take action on this and help me get compensation.
