I had booked a ticket with Indigo a year ago for travel on the 23rd January 2015. I had then called the customer service team to rescheudle the dates of travel to the 25th January and also add an infant to the journey, they stated that the dates had been changed and all I had to do was to pay a difference of INR 8000 at least 24 hours prior to the travel date.
I live in Dubai and I had come down for the holiday purpose, I tried to pay the 8k on the 24th January and to my disappointment I was notified at that time that the dates were not changed and I had missed my flight by then, I could not even utilize my return ticket as it was booked from a Jet airlines. I had no option left but return to Dubai.
I then called the customer service team from Dubai repeatedly to give me a resoution on the issue, I requested them to listen to the conversation with the customer service executive in which I was promised the date change but did not receive any notification for 2-3 months. After being utterly disappointed I emailed my complaint to the consumer cell who now have replied saying that all they could do was give me a voucher for the ticket amount as they are unable to pull up the call recordings.
I would request you to please take up the issue with Indigo airlines and get me a compensation for
1) My return tickets wasted by misleading information.
2) My time and ticket money wasted from travelling to Bangalore from Dubai.
3) My phone calls made from Dubai to Indigo airlines office with no resolution.
4) The hassle I have been going through for the last 4 months. Was this information helpful? |
