[Resolved] Karnataka State Open University — EMBA refund of fees due to UGC derecognition

I took admission to Executive MBA Jan 2015 batch in Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) in October 2014 through Distance Education . I have paid Rs 17100 . My registration number is PREVNO - 05707 .

Later KSOU has informed me that UGC has de-recognized KSOU on some regulation issues and the program is on hold for more than 2 years. I have asked for refund of my money several times since last 1 year but still KSOU has not returned my fees .

I have lost more than 2 years in KSOU (for a 1 year course) and I have taken admission in another University. I am in serious need of funds and KSOU has cheated me both in terms of my precious time and money.

I have lodged complaint in this portal on 02-Dec-2016 but I have not received any communication so far and I don't have any updates.

Karnataka State Open University Customer Care's response Dear Student,

A Writ Petition has been filed in the Karnataka High Court (W.P. No. 55716/2016, 53536 / 2016) requesting for expediting examinations and other pending activities. Now this matter is now sub-judice and we are awaiting for further instructions from the Court.

Updated by sanjaymaz I want my money back. that's all. I have taken MBA admission in another university amd already in 4th sem. please refund my hard earned money before I escalate it to higher authorities. I hereby take an oath to get my money (Rs 17100) back from you.
