Kerala State Electricity Board [KSEB] — Regular power cuts of more than 8 hours

My house is under Thaikkad sub-station near Guruvayur. We had at least 5 instances of 8 hour power cuts in the last two weeks. The excuse evrytime is HT Line Maintenence. We are finding it difficult to go about our daily lives because of these rampant power cuts.
