[Resolved]  National Insurance Company — Closing my claim without reimbursement

Claim No. :DHS16Z038614. NI Company's third party DHS has closed my Mediclaim Reimbursement and refused to reimburse the claim amount. DHS is the Third Party. They had said that my claim was claimed after a long delay. During my visit to Mumbai I fell ill. My illness commenced on January 3rd and was hospitalized for a day and I was on drip, on January 10 - 11, 2016. My treatment for the illness continued, firstly at Mumbai and later at Kochi, Kerala, upto February 18, 2016. My claim was submitted on February 24, 2016. DHS sent a query regarding some missing Hospital reports` from Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai. At that time they did not mention that my claim was delayed and required an explanation, this happened later.
As my residence is in Kerala, it took some time to obtain the reports from Mumbai and submit the same. Finally I was told that National Insurance did not reply to the query raised by DHS on accepting my explanation for the so -called delay in lodging claim. And DHS closed the Claim by refusing to reimburse.
I am a Senior Citizen (74 Years) with Varistha Mediclaim Policy. My wife, also a Senior Citizen is an invalid due to spinal disc deterioration and unable to walk on her own. I have to personally attend to all the daily needs of my wife including supporting her for walking, bathing her, taking her to toilet, feeding her etc. In the midst of all this I had to submit the Claim Reimbursement Form.
Kindly ask the Company to reimburse the amount claimed, and condone any delay under the above circumstances
