Re: pending claim of vehicle no hr 26 a 2079 insured vide policy number[protected], insured - mr vijay vig, surveyor-mr g. S. Maurya

Sir,

The claim for the captioned vehicle is pending since 15.4.19. It is a claim of self ignition.

The insured is suffering from cancer and is in mumbai with his son. The stationed vehicle caught fire of its own. The fire in the vehicle was doused by the neighbors. The claim was lodged immediately. A surveyor, mr g. S. Maurya was deputed who showed his inability to attend the claim immediately since he was out of station for the marriage of his daughter.

The vehicle was sent to the authorized dealer of ford, m/s harpreet ford, gurgaon. They took about 10 days for preparation of the estimate and after the survey, they realized that the cost of the parts had increased tremendously but they quoted old rates. This fact was brought in the knowledge of surveyor who advised to prepare a fresh estimate with parts number and new rates. He advised not to commence the repairs till the new estimate was submitted to him and he obtained the sanction from office. Accordingly, a new estimate with parts number and new rates were submitted to the surveyor. The works manager, mr yogender of the repairers and the undersigned kept requesting the surveyor to obtain approval of claims hub. Only after the permission of the surveyor and second inspection, the repairs were commenced. The repairers took some extra time in arranging the parts. During the course of repairs some more damages were observed so the repairers gave a supplementary estimate to the surveyor. I kept reminding the surveyor that he was supposed to take prior approval from claims hub before allowing further repairs. When the vehicle was fully repaired, it would’t start. It was found that all four injectors were also not functioning. One had to be replaced and rest of the three were repaired for which a further estimate of rs. 16500/- was raised. This estimate was also sent to the surveyor and claims hub before commencing repairs. Thereafter the surveyor was requested to re-inspect the vehicle. The surveyor kept saying that once the re-inspection was complete, he would discuss the matter with claims hub and prepare report accordingly.

Later the surveyor submitted the report for an assessment of rs. 62000/- against a bill of rs. 2, 65, 000/-. He said that the claims hub said that they might face problems with audit so he submitted report of rs. 62000/- only.

May i know, the claims hub is settling claims to indemnify the insured or to satisfy the auditors. Even if the auditors are to be satisfied then the facts could be put before them. They can understand the situation.

The repairers in-spite of being authorized dealer committed an error and prepared incorrect estimate. The surveyor committed deficiency by not doing his duty correctly and the insured is the sufferer. Is it correct? 2/-

I request you to kindly intervene and get the justified indemnity to the insured. I sent mails to to dgm, claims hub and dealing officer. I even talked to the dealing officer and explained the situation but all my efforts are not yielding any results.

I request you get the justice to the insured. I have already informed the dealing officer that i would complete all the formalities once the report is rectified. I am attaching two letters sent by me. I also sent mails and reminders too.

The maruti suzuki am motors feroke, we had sumbmitted our car for a insurance .they are not giving insurance right..they are telling silly reason and they did not give our insurance for our car..i did get my body repaired.now im in qatar...the insurance bad behaviour and not good at all
