I had purchased a maruti suzuki baleno model car on 16th sept 2017 with a insurance policy from m/s new india insurance with policy no.[protected]. My car was totally affected by flood in kerala in the month of aug 2018 and the insurance company concluded the claim as constructive total loss as the estimated repair cost is more than the 75% of the idv on the net of salvage basis and i had submitted all the documents which ever asked by the insurance company. On the basis of this i requested for a total loss certificate from the m/s new india insurance and they were not responding. So i contacted mr. Satheesan s (Ph. No[protected], kottayam divisional manager for complaining about the issue and he replied as this certificate cannot be issued to the policy holder and this certificate is just for getting a additional discount while purchasing a new car, so they had given the scanned copy to the dealership. I get to know that all the other insurance companies are issuing total loss certificate to the policy holder on the same week itself after finalizing the claim as total loss by the surveyor. More over that the certificate is issued in the name of ms. Beena elizhabeth kuriakose and why this letter copy is handed over to dealership person without my concerned approval. As a responsible divisional manager he should at-least had a word with me before sharing this letter to anybody.
Kindly request to issue a total loss certificate for the claim and also please clarify why there is a delay in my case. Was this information helpful? |
