With humble submission I want to state that I, Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah, have insured building and house hold goods with your office at Anantnag Kashmir vide above mentioned policy number.There was a loss to my building due to Earthquake which occurred on 12th of February 2021 and I intimated the office and they deputed the surveyor namely Mr.Irfan Alam and he has submitted his report in the office and I have completed and submitted all the required documents with him. Now the office has issued me a letter after a gap of five months in which they have asked me to submit meteorological report to confirm the cause of loss.I would like to request you that I have submitted media reports with the surveyor in which it is clear that a heavy Earthquake occured on 12/02/2021 resulting in the losses to the buildings which confirms the cause of loss and Surveyor too has surveyed the property and has confirmed cause of loss due to Earthquake.
I am surprised to see that after a gap of five months the said office is demanding for a meteorological report when cause of loss is clear to them and it surfaces that they are delaying in the settlement of loss without any logic. Everybody knows it very well that on the date of occurance of earthquake the magnitude of which was 6.2 on Richter Scale and whole Northern India was affected.
Keeping in view the above facts kindly advice the concerned office to settle the claim without any further delay as there is no need to get any certificate further in the matter. Please ask the concerned office to settle my claim at the earliest without any further delay.
