P — cutting of trees

I am resident of ludhiana punjab, here fly over bridge is underconstruction on firozpur road but in the process all the trees which are 50 years and more older are being cut by the contractor, in which banyan trees are also there. He is cutting the trees through out the stretch without planting newones or placing them to some other place.
