Hi,
I am sathiyavel c. I am applied passport on may 18. The interview was conducted on may 24. The police verification done on jun 4 by local police station but still my passport status was "pending for physical police 3 at respective thank under sp office district vellore". I inquired local police station (Vaniyambadi) they told my application sent to sp office on jun 5 but still my status same. I contact sp office they told, "we are not receiving my application still today"

I have finished my police verification on 11/06/2017 in r9 police station. But still my application status show its pending for police verification for weeks and there is no change in status. I have contacted police regarding the verification done, they said that the papers has been sent long back. This is my file no: ma[protected]. Kindly help me with this issue as there is no charity with my passport status.

My old passport got expired & had applied for reissue Fileno:MA[protected] & my application was kept on hold mentioning that i need to produce the original copy of marriage certificate & i have unknowing filled in fresh form & scheduled appointment for 17th April 2017 Fileno:MA[protected]& my application is again kept on hold mentioning that i need to close my old application .Headquarters updated that my old application is not even forwarded to the head office, it is still in Ajimjikarai branch.

I paid twice for the reissue .. no one is responding to queries properly..

My daughter got other country nationality and I want to surrender the Indian passport. My case is bit complicated so before applying for surrender certificate I thought of clarifying my questions and the people in the passport office are rude and they denied to provide information. They are just telling that all the information are in online.. I do know that generic information's are online but nothing related to my case. I sent email to rpo.[protected]@mea.gov.in addressing "Shri P K Ashok Babu" and he didn't even bothered to reply to my email even after sending the remainders...

I am not sure how to proceed further...

I am not sure how to proceed further...

Below are the details of my case

My Daughter born in London but she is an Indian Citizen at the time of birth and we took Indian passport to travel to India. Later she got naturalized and got her British nationality but she is still in India with an Indian passport.

We recently applied her British passport and we got the same . Now we would like to surrender the Indian passport which in turn we can apply OCI card once we get the surrender certificate for her to stay further in India.

My questions are below

How long will it take to get surrender certificate once passport is surrendered?
What is the maximum time limit to surrender the Indian passport after acquiring foreign nationality?
Do I need to apply Indian visa for her in the mean time to stay in India???
Does parents to be present in person to surrender Indian passport?
Is scanned copy of the naturalization certificate is sufficient to surrender the Indian passport?

NOTE: She didn't travel to any country with the Indian passport once she got her naturalization.

I'd applied for PCC through online and schedule the appointment also. According to the "Document Advisor" instructions, I carried the below documents.

1) Old passport in original with self-attested photocopy of its first two and last two pages including ECR/Non-ECR page and page of observation.

2) Proof of Present Address.

As per the appointment time, I went to PSK Saligramam and I waited for an hour in the queue. After some hours, I met the enquirer and provide the all documents, but they simply said to get the Medical certificate and Visa copy, then only we allowed to go inside of the Passport office.

I asked him, the Medical certificate and copy of visa are not mentioned in the "Document Advisor". For that they said, all the instructions were not mandatory to mentioned in the website.

If they not mentioned all the details means, then why they are maintaining the offical website ? why they are asking to schedule the appointment ?
Why they are provided the "Document Advisor" ?

I took leave for office on that day and spend half-a-day for passport office, but no luck to got the PCC.

The whole process is waste of time and money. This is not only happened for me. They send back lot of persons for the same reason.

Kindly take the necessary action and avoid these type of embarrassment in future.

Hi, My wife went to Aminjikarai passport office for issue of new passport. She used my passport for address proof along with our marriage certificate. The officers didn't consider my passport for address proof. In the passport website mentioned below, 'Spouse's passport copy (First and last page including family details), (provided the applicant's present address matches the address mentioned in the spouses passport)' is mentioned. The officers were not sure though it was mentioned to them that spouse passport can be used as address proof.

Dear Sir/Madam, I went to Saligramam PSK in Chennai to apply for passport on[protected] with the Address proof documents (Gas Bill, EB Bill, and HR letter of our company Dupont). After all verifications at the earlier counters, and in the counter A and after taken the photograph of mine they have informed me to check with the officials in the B block. When went and showed them the originals, that person told me that those are not the proper address proof documents. They need only Ration Card, or Voter Id, or Bank statement from nationalised bank. None of the other documents they are not accepting. Then i showed the list provided in the online application form i filled in which we have the list of the documents we need to carry as proof. They are not even ready to see the list and they are asking me to go out and bring the said document alone. When i showed the list from the online form, they were telling that online site is having some problem. How they can say that? Because we are applying in the online. The address i have shown is my own address which was bought in 2011 itself but i am unable to get the passport with that address. Please help in this.

Hi This Sherin I applied my passport for renewal on July14th 2014, on 16th of July police verification was cleared. Today is 11th august 2014 and still didn't get my passport. I have booked flight end of this month and I really need my passport now to apply for my visa. Me and my husband are really worried about this as we have invested our money on this. Please help, Why Chennai passport seva is really poor in service, when the government will take action all these complaints and when consumers like us will be satisfied in this country? Why do we have to taxes when the services are this bad. I really feel pathetic about the situation.

After Police Verification Report is found clear, passport will be dispatched. You would receive an sms/e-mail once the passport is dispatched"

i had apply my passport before three and half month in the date of 01/10/2014. till now i am not get the passport. when i am using tracking option for passport status it told me only your passport is under review at regional passport office. this notification i saw after finished my police verification to till now.my police verification finished before two and half month. i was also go to regional passport office for enquiry but he told me your passport is not send from your police station. but the police told me your application is sending after verification. what i want to do please help me sir please i am very poor family please sir...
