[Resolved]  Renault — Critical : renault kwid servicing/manufacturing issue false promises from distributors/service centre

This is samit mukherjee from pune… i had purchased a renault kwid (Rxt o) on 31st oct’15 from roharsh motors, baner, pune…
I am really dissatisfied with the service that is being provided to me from renault… i will try to summarize the issues chronologically:
1. My car met an accident in july’16.

2. It was repaired by roharsh motors, baner, pune (Service centre/workshop) and delivered to me on aug’16…

3. The following issues were still there :
A. Water was leaking from the wind shield
B. Ac switch (For switching the mode) was hard and it could not be moved.
C. Ac was not working properly and it was not cooling at all.
D. Steering was tilted. The base line (Horn) was tilted while the tyres were straight.
E. Steering was very hard to move.
F. Steering was brushing against its base (The joint where the steering is attached)
G. Glove box lock was not working. It could not be closed once opened.

4. I had again taken my car to the service station to get it repaired. They repaired it but the following issues were still there….
A. Ac switch (For switching the mode) was hard and it could not be moved.
B. Steering was tilted. The base line (Horn) was tilted while the tyres were straight.
C. Steering was very hard to move.
D. Steering was brushing against its base (The joint where the steering is attached).
E. Glove box lock was not working. It could not be closed.

5. Then in dec’16 the ignition switch stopped working. The car could not be turned off while the key was removed from the ignition switch. The service centre then replaced the same with some demo switch and confirmed that they will replace it with original as soon as it is recd from the company. They also confirmed me that the tilted steering will be corrected at the time of replacement of the ignition switch (Within a week’s time).

6. I had not recd any call from anyone from the company or the distributor regarding my issues till may’17.

7. I have faced a medical problem in my right shoulder due to driving my car with a tilted steering (As per the doctor it may have happened due to my hands not in correct position in the steering)

8. I had taken my car to the service centre on 8th may’17 and asked them to keep the car for 3 days and resolve all the pending issues.

9. The following issues were told to them and written on the job card.
A. Rpm is increasing automatically, even if at neutral gear or while standing at a traffic signal at first gear, the race of the car is increasing periodically without touching the accelerator. And the vibration inside the car at that time is extremely high.
B. Ac blower sound was terribly loud.
C. Ac switch (For switching the mode) was hard and it could not be moved.
D. Steering is tilted
E. Steering is hard and brushing against its base.
F. Glove box lock not working
G. Engine sound was louder than earlier.
H. Wiper was touching the bonnet while removing it from the wind shield to clear the glass.
I. Ignition key change with original one.

10. I was given a delivery date of 9th may’17 on the job card.

11. On 10th may’17, after calling the service centre i came to know that the vehicle is still not ready as they are still diagnosing the steering problem.

12. On 12th may’17 the same diagnosing was going on. I don’t know what it is!!

13. One 13th may’17 after pressurising they delivered the car with the following faults still in it :
A. Rpm is increasing automatically, even if at neutral gear or while standing at a traffic signal at first gear, the race of the car is increasing periodically without touching the accelerator. And the vibration inside the car at that time is extremely high.
B. Steering is tilted
C. Steering base is not touching anymore but the fitting is not at all good. It is looking very cheap and nasty. The joints are not matching with each other and gaps are there.
D. Glove box lock still not working.
E. Wiper was touching the bonnet while removing it from the wind shield to clear the glass.

While giving the car for servicing i had clearly and politely told the current advisor/supervisor (Mr. Anirudha) and earlier supervisor (Mr. Javed) that, i am very dissatisfied with the service provided to me for last one year and also the way i am treated. I will definitely log a complaint to the company personnel if the car is not rectified or corrected for all the issues i had mentioned.
At the time of delivery on 13th may’17, when i said that i will log a complaint of the same mr. Anirudha arrange a telephonic conversation with some senior manager/general manager – mr. Hemant patil… mr. Hemant patil requested me personally to not to complain… as per his commitment he will arrange a temporary vehicle for me to use by tuesday 16th may’17 and he will clear/correct all the issues in my car by this week… and not to my surprise, they have not contacted me till date…
I am really forced to submit my complaint to you with hope that somebody from the company will respond to it… i am expecting renault to be a customer oriented company who will look after their customers/consumers.
I have really started to regret my decision to purchase from renault.
Kindly do the needful to rectify all the issues before i take any further action…
