[Resolved]  Samsung India — defective flagship mobile s8 plus 128gb

This is to my utter surprise that samsung being a reputed company in terms of mobile phones has created such a blunder of a product in the form of a galaxy s8 plus. I had high hopes on the phone due to it's heavy price tag and the swanky ads that were projected to the public.

I bought a first galaxy s8 plus which was a 64 gb variant which was defective. The phone is a wonderful piece of art as the features of the phone are so rich. But the battery backup of the phone was too bad maybe because of the exynos processor that is rolled out to india. I had reported it to the customer care just after using the phone for a week and they had classified it as faulty too. I was too happy with the hassle free service provided by samsung as the head office was in mumbai and they had a proper decorum of operations. They had taken back my phone and refunded my whole cash of 65k bucks.

Since samsung also stated the fact that the battery issues were fixed in future rollouts of their phones, with very high hopes and trust on the brand i happened to buy another galaxy s8 plus which is now a 128gb 6gb ram variant. Again to my astonishing surprise i found this phone also had the same problem. I completely lost hope in samsung and their products after using this crap of a phone. Basically the phone heats up a lot and battery backup hardly stays for 8 hours even when the phone is being barely used.

I had this first reported to samsung and they informed me that they will check and fix this for me. With the samsung head office now moving to chennai, i can see the technical and operational incompetence of the customer service team and technical support team. They had taken my phone, simply flashed the whole phone to factory remains and installed the latest update on my phone. The person handling my phone was simply rude and said that my phone is fixed and demanded me to go to the service centre to pick it up and get out. For my previous phone i could get updates on what really happened and what logs were collected to find out the hardware defect. This person denied to do anything apart from a software update and wanted me to use the phone to observe if the problem occurs.

There we go again. I used the phone for barely two days and yet the problem arises back. I was unfortunately unable to report this incident again soon due to my nature of work as i require to travel all the time. This time i reported the same problem to the customer care team and it was escalated with high delay to the head office team. My case was assigned to a highly incompetent trashy individual named sundaram. He spoke with such utter direspect for any of my regard. It was as if i was talking to an arrogant robot. I was asked to give my phone to the swanky service centre in nungambakkam and it has been two weeks since i've given my phone. I informed them the fact that a software update has been done from their end already and i have used it for a couple of months and the same problem persists. I have only asked them to continue from where they left so that they can either fix it or replace or refund it.

I find a 3rd party service person really useful enough as he is ready to note down my problems and observations so that he can do the necessary to fix problems. This is in the case of other phones that i have. To my awful surprise again, i see that the swanky service station of samsung has done the same software flash and update giving total disregard to what i have informed them. Sundaram is such a cheap incompetent person as he doesn't know how to address an issue or feel compassionate for a person. This is the amount of respect provided to a person who has taken up a heavy risk of purchasing a flagship device of the establishment. Inr 75000 is not at all a joke for me as it is one fourth of my total years earnings. The phone is still lying in the service station being unattended and i have no plans of taking the phone from them without fixing it effectively or replacing it.

These two weeks have been terrible for me as i'm unable to concentrate on my work and family because of such an undeserving investment i've made in the form of a flagship mobile phone with samsung. I humbly request any of you here to help me with this issue as i have gone to the highest level possible within the company and i have nowhere else to go.

Sir. I still haven't got any call from you people that speaks of acknowledging my concern. I dunno how you all do this but you're all insane. I'm sitting here without my phone and it is a flagship phone that I have. I'm receiving such bad unprofessional service for this. Please revert soon.

Samsung support. What are you people doing? I'm deprived of my phone since 3 weeks and I dunno whay shape it is in. Why didn't I still receive a call?
