Had visited the v care mobitron autorised showroom in new excelsior building fort, mumbai india on[protected] and had inquired for battery replacement. For my samsung galaxy a700 sr no rz8g700kexd.
I had specifically mentioned that i do not want the phone reset as was advised by the online samsung help & other local vendors.
I was called on the[protected] at 1404pm from tel 22073350 and was informed that the battery had arrived.
I entered the service centre at approx 5:15pm and was informed that the battery was not available, on informing that i was called, they assured me that the work will be done.
As usual their attendant refused to let me take a print out of the token but asked me to go directly to the counter. I handed over the phone and was patiently waiting till 07:20pm. I was constantly watching through the see through but they had not taken my phone on table for repairs.
I then courteously informed the lady that i will just go out for a few minutes, i returned back in exact 4 minutes and walked to the service window and the manager mr. Ashish handling my phone indicated that it is replaced.
I was surprised to know how a a7 phone battery can be replaced within 2-3 minutes. They earlier informed me that it is a tedious task with the removal of lcd and a long procedure.
All these that i state can can be evidenced through your cctv cameras.
The counter staff then informs me that they have reset the phone even after specifically requesting them.
Their actions were suspect and was corroborated with the battery draining right before the counter engineer who now stated that there is a phone problem. This was the same engineer who confirmed the battery issue in the first place. I have paid rs. 2107/-
I have a feeling that they have cheated me as well as you, the parent company. I come from a technical background & have a fair understanding of electronics.
They made me wait and have harassed me by deleting all my data, contacts, emails, messages, personal pictures & whatsapp and images just to cheat me of a few thousand rupees. This has caused me a huge amount of distress and pain. I have lost so much of precious time and money.
Please ask them to verify the cctv and all will be clearly known.
I have categorically requested not to reset the phone. On confronting the manager, he mentions on the invoice that without taking customer concern sc erased customer data.
This is pathetic/sad behavior from a service centre representing a world renowned brand.

P. S note that the battery is draining very fast.
Extremely disappointed. The feedback box was full and overflowing with no place to add more forms.

I have not received any formal email reply from the Company but the Supervisor from the store has called Many times to recall the complaint.
There was a call from a Person who claimed to be from Samsung but did not disclose his name & office details who was asking for what can they do to make me cancel my complaint for which i answered that i wanted my data back.
Further more the Battery replaced is not working at all. It is now worse than before as i have to charge the phone nearly 3 times in a day.
Can i ask for a Refund of the Rs. 2, 100/- that i have paid to the Company?
Hope you can guide me on this.
