I have purchased samsung 32 inches led from authorised of samsung india in hyderabad in year ending 2013.
Thus tv is only an add-on in our house. Wherein we haven't used this tv, the maximum number of hours it was used is less than 150 hours since we purchased. I was out country for 1year 6 months.
On[protected] when i switched on the tv to view the ganesh chathurthi coverage in media after 15 minutes the screen turned into blank and only voices was audible. I have given a telephonic complaint to samsung and ticket number generated vide no: [protected]
On[protected] the technician visited and after inspection he comes to a conclusion that the picture panel needs to be replaced which costs rs. 18650/- and freight cost of getting material costs to rs. 1500/-. I made a payment of rs.400/- vide cash receipt no: 1154 as visiting charges to the technician.
When i asked technician why this problem has araised he said no idea. It is to be noted that even technician made a statement that tv is as box piece and not used.
I was shocked and i have recalled to samsung toll free number and conveyed the message what samsung technician said and shared the message that we haven't used the tv. The call attended executive stated that they shall escalate the issue to higher management and come with a solution to the problem.
On[protected] i have also written a complaint on to ceo samsung india wherein i have received a call from the executive and enquired/collected the information from us and stated in 4 hours of time will revert back to the complaint made the new ticket number raised vide no: [protected].
On[protected] a call executive from samsung india calls means states that samsung cannot help us and only solution is that i need to replace the panel which is costing rs. 18650/-, freight rs. 1500/- and the service charges as well.
It is important to note that when i received a call on[protected], samsung executive was speaking in high tone, rude and not acceptable way towards the customer.
Secondly it is also important to note that a new 32 inches led tv is costing rs.23000/- in open market.
Thus samsung places a mind game where spare cost including freight, service charge costing around to rs. 20000/- and new tv in open market costing rs. 23000/-.
Thus i have also browsed on online i have observed they are several customers been trapped, carried away, got influenced by brand name "samsung".
From my personnel experience and reviews read online samsung led 32 inches 5 series model has problems with panel and failed to meet and provide services to its customers specially in tv's.
I am not aware whether samsung management is reviewing the problems what customers are facing.
Thus i conclude samsung has primarily failed to provide good service to its customers and after reading the online reviews on samsung tv problems it's not recommended to opt the samsung brands in tv specially.
