I bough my new samsung c7 pro mobile on oct 14, 2017.
My mobile phone got shut down while restart and never came up since the day before yesterday night.
I visited my samsung dealer today around 2 pm, samsung smartplaza in chrompet, chennai and he routed me to samsung service center in shunmugam salai, tambaram stating any issue 14 days from purchase has to be handled in service centre and this issue should might need a flash and would get fixed in 20 mins if i go there.
At samsung service centre in tambaram which i visited on my way back home around 2:30pm the service person push some buttons to try rebooting and said he can't fix this unless he opens and removes the battery and since he doesn't have the parts he can't take this up for fix. I was asked to go to velachery service center which is 1 hr from here in a normal traffic. I was then asked to call up 1800 support and get a resolution and he can't do anything further.
I called up 1800 support and the person spoke to the service person in tambaram on my phone and updated me that there is some financial issue between this service center and head office and hence they can't take my request for processing. I was asked to visit velachery branch. I asked her then why do we have a service centre there to just fool customers. And since he mentioned about parts replacement i even enquired if this product which is around 28 days since purchase has any issue which they are hiding from me. She dint give me a convincing answer and finally ended up saying i'll get a call back from her supervisor within 4 hrs. I never got the call till now.
I understood that this is my problem as a customer am the one who always have to take the hit and companies which are liable to fix issues end up not taking responsibility and make the life of customers hell. I then decided to visit velachery service center.
After a long wait with many customer with some problem or the other in their mobile, one gentleman took my handset and connected to the power cord and did some magic pressing a combination of 2 buttons which he said should been what these customer care or service people should ideally have done at the first place. My mobile was back up running and after testing the charging process for few minutes he returned my mobile back.
Time was 7:30 pm. I lot almost a day and energy because of the dumb employees samsung has in their customer care and service centre and with their internal problems with finances.
I still did not get a call back from the supervisor and nor did anybody care about my ticket registered with samsung. But am happy my phone works and would ensure i won't give any positive response about samsung customer care or products to anyone, instead i would make sure whoever approaches me are alerted of the pathetic support you have.
