[Resolved]  Samsung India — software update leading to samsung s7 phone not able to register sim to network

Samsung s7 is not able to register the sim to network since an software update from samsung was installed in the phone. Samsung service center wants rs. 18000 from me to replace the motherboard. Customer care says they can't do anything about it and there must be problem with my phone. The phone was working all okay until software update. It started having problem when phone got restarted after the software update. Looks like samsung has started a new revenue stream - create issues in phone using software updates and then ask for hefty repair charge. Can anyone help me to address this? I don't have any hope talking directly to samsung.
