I created an account on Shine.com in my name Rahoul Purii to explore better job opportunities, but unfortunately, the experience has been disappointing.
On 4th your team charged me ₹39, 317/- in the name of job assistance and career improvement Services (please find the attached screenshot for your reference). Initially, on December 4th, 2025, I was contacted by your team to subscribe to paid services. I was hesitant at first, but when I was informed that the fee would be ₹3, 657, I agreed to proceed with the payment. Your team assured me that I would be assigned a relationship manager who would help me find a job in my domain, which made me excited about the prospect of securing my dream job.
However, after Mr. Anup Kumar from your team took over, things took an unexpected turn. He aggressively pushed me to purchase additional paid services to enhance my profile for recruiters. When I asked for the exact amount, he assured me that the charges were minimal, leading me to believe that the cost would be manageable, similar to the ₹3, 657 I initially paid. However, he then sent me three proforma invoices for Shine's exclusive services, which were far beyond what I could afford.
Despite clearly stating that I could not afford the additional fees, Mr. Kumar continued to pressure me, behaving as though I had taken a loan from him and was defaulting on payments. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, especially from a reputable company like Shine.com (HT Media).
When I refused to make further payments, he persisted with attempts to coerce me, which I found extremely unprofessional and distressing.
This morning, he once again contacted me, demanding payment, which led me to block his number. I am now raising this issue with you to prevent further harassment.
I kindly request a full refund of the amount paid and ask that my account be permanently deleted.
The behavior I experienced was rude, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable from a company of your stature.
I am expecting a prompt action on this matter and my refund at the earliest.
