Snapdeal.com — Defective item return has been closed after a week of trying to return it

For a whole week i was told that the return request will be done in 2-3 days.. Every morning i woke up with amsg saying courier could not reach me, but u never got any call for it.and now after 10 days it says return request closed. Why?
