I have changed my city of residence and hence my mobile number. However, it has been impossible to get the mobile number associated with SBI internet banking. SBI says it cannot be changed at the branch. While it says, it can be changed online after logging in, that link says go to the branch for changing. SBI claims that a reference number can be generated online, after which the branch can change it. However, the online links do not give it. Every online transaction will send an one-time-password OTP to the old mobile number, which I do not have. So, I have been unable to make any transactions.
Now, I have forgotten my login password after 3 years. Still, SBI claims there is no provision in the bank for giving me a new username/password. The bank people think it is not their job to do this for me.
As a result, I am not able to operate my bank account and hence use my money.
SBI needs to wake up and change its system for online banking mobile phone number change. Was this information helpful? |
