I am vishal gandhi, i was having a savings account in your tollygunge branch at kolkata. Just 3 days back i submitted an application to close my account. Next day i received a message that my account is deactivated and is close, and rs. 575/- was deducted from my account for closure of the account. So today i visited bank to talk to the service manager for this problem and she told that a new rule has applied for the closure. So i told her that you should have informed us before taking the application that if you close the account a closure fee will be apply. She told that you should have ask first if their are any charges or not. As we earlier know that there were no charges for the closure so i told her that you should have print the thing and put at the notice board so customers would be able know whats going on. So i went to the branch manager mr. Tridib mukherjee to talk about the matter but he was so rude that i was not able to clear my doubts. As i started my conversation he was like i am not god that i will know whats happening and all. So i told you should have put a letter on the notice board so everyone should come to know. Then he was like ki you should have asked first ki if there are any charges for the closure or not, i will not go to each and every one and say ki whats happening or not. So i told ki i am not telling you to go to each and everyone, i was asking you to put on the notice board.. Den he fired up and started talking non sense ki i am not the branch manager because of your money and you are at branch manager room so talk according to that. Pointing finger and behaviour of the person was very wrong and very disappointing.
As a customer of the bank, i have the full right to know about the details.
I will ask the concern to look into the matter very carefully and take the necessary step.
