I have a current account and EDC machine for my business from SBI (Formerly known as SBM) from Nandini Layout branch of which the branch code is 40513.
I had requested the branch multiple time from last 1 year to surrender my EDC machine and close the current account for which the branch asks for a letter for EDC cancellation as account cannot be closed without surrender of EDC.
Even after 1 year, the EDC is not collected nor cancelled and neither the account is closed. I am being charged every month rental for the EDC terminal whereas the branch manager clearly said that there will no rental from the day I had requested for cancellation and will reverse all the charges and almost Rs.5000 has been debited from my account.
Now when I have strictly asked the manager to take the machine and close account and reverse the charges for which he is saying that he cannot reverse any amount and extra Rs.6500 has to be deposited to account for more rental and account maintenance charges.
When I informed this to the SBI agm and customer care, the branch manager had called me and started abusing me, using vulgar words and have started threatning me.
I had again informed the same to the AGM and customer care but still no proper response but EDC has been collected from my store. Still the account is not closed and the manager is using the same language whenever he calls.
He also lies and calls to the bank saying that some person from head office have come to meet you, he wants to give some application and all such and calls after banking hours.
I want to bring in notice about all this as still the account is not closed and the bank manager is using in-applicable words.
