[Resolved] State Bank Of India [SBI] — Rude and impolite behaviour of staff and Manager | |||
Re: S B A/C No. with Wagle Industrial Estate Branch, Thane West 400 602 I had this morning deposited, through the cheque depositing machine installed in the Branch, two cheques totalling to Rs. Five lakhs into my above account, jointly held with my wife and daughter. Although I had carried filled up deposit slips I brought them back as the machine did not say that they need to be deposited too. I received a phone call from the branch saying that the cheques will be kept in the branch for want of paying in slips. (Such an impolite and rude information!) Leaving aside all my other jobs, I rushed to the branch with the slips. Even before wanting to know the purpose of my visit the staff told me that deposit box is kept outside. I told her that I had to give the slips for the cheques already deposited. Accepting the slips that lady (seems to be a senior citizen too) started rebuking me saying she has a lots of work to do and in between she had to make this phone call to me and I should understand that. I patiently listened to her and politely informed her that I had carried the slips with me but since nowhere was it mentioned to deposit them, I did not do so. To this that lady started to justify saying that she had put notice there but some customer tore them off. I told her that I was not responsible for that and if she has got any complaints about her workload being more, she should complaint it to the Manager and not me. I also told her that she was not doing any of my work and also that she is only doing her job. (Towards the end my voice too was raised because of her impolite and rude behaviour.) Please note that I am a very senior citizen, and I do not have to take any rebuke from their staff. But when I went to see the Manager, he said he was busy with some virus matter. He too did not have the courtesy or decency to request me to wait outside for some time. Instead he told me to see the Service manager who has been absent from his seat for very long and that there were 4 – 5 customers already waiting for him/her. Was this information helpful? | |||
Aug 2, 2017 Complaint marked as Resolved I had since on 5 June 2017 submitted the complaint to a higher authority, but alas! To this date also I have not received any reply.
