Dear sbi & consumer complaint board,
I have an sbi account for which i received an sms on 1st june 2017 at 04:09 am stating that a pos transaction has declined due to insufficient fund. Please note that i haven't used my card anywhere on pos in fast week or even today in the morning. My card has been physically with me therefore i call up customer service of sbi to get help since this looks fraudulent/suspicious to me. I called up using my registered mobile no. Yet i didn't get any help from customer service. They asked me to fillin my phone banking user id and password which i did and then they played the recorded message of balance and asked me to press 1 to continue which i did. I didn't get any relevant option or an option to speak to a representative.
I finally called up again to lodge a complaint about the customer care service and i am told by a supervisor named "rahul" that you don't need to worry since no balance has been deducted.
Isn't it a lame advise? I shouldn't be worried and be suspicious about this unauthorized transaction (Even if it was declined). Want to ask sbi, is this how you care about your customer that despite calling for more than 4 times i couldn't get a detail about the declined pos transaction sms that you guys sent me?
Please help me understand why have i received such sms when i haven't used my card? Also please help me understand if that's the level of service sbi has to offer to its customer? Was this information helpful? |
