State Bank Of India [SBI] — sbi cards biggest cheats

I was pushed to buy a sbi fbb credit card while i was standing in big bazzar billing queue..

At the time of signing i was told that the joining fee of rs 500 would be refunded back along with the card delivery and would be adjusted in first payments.

Then later a call came and confirmed the same that this rs 500 would be given in the form of fbb gift voucher and it will come along with the card

Once i got the card, there was no vouchure.. A letter was attached along that you are eligible for a rs 500 complimentary vouchure, please claim it.

I started chasing the sbi customer care, but as usual no response on the calls. I wrote the complaint on the sbi portal login. They replied back saying that the rs 500 vouchure will be credited to your card in terms of points once you have paid the first bill and 30 days have passed..

I waited for over 50 days and wrote again. An absurd reply came this time that we do not give any vouchure, this fee you have to give.

I escalated the matter to the company customer care.. They also wrote same reply that there is nothing of rs 500 vouchure.. His reply is pasted below.

I have proof that came along with card stating that rs 500 will be given.

This is with reference to your email dated september 5, 2017 regarding sbi credit card.

We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused to you regarding the matter addressed to us.

We wish to apprise you that the annual fee billed to your card account is a basic product price which covers only a portion of the cost incurred by us in maintaining your card account.

Please note that your sbi card is not a lifetime free card.

As you are aware, annual fee was levied on your card account post receipt of your consent, duly signed, along with your sbi card application.

While we do understand your concerns; we are constrained that we are unable to take any favorable view in the matter and express our inability to provide you with life time free card and reversal of annual fee on your card account.

Please appreciate that annual fee billed to your card account is a basic product price which covers only a portion of the cost incurred by us in maintaining your card account.

We thank you and look forward to your continued patronage.

Sbi cards are cheaters and they do false promises. Even when they have printed and signed on the letter, still they have courage to deny it.

Would strongly recommend not to use sbi cards and also discourage your friends.
