Subject: - wrong deduction of income tax from my f. D. A/c for the year ending 31/03/2017. Respected sir,
It is deeply regretted to inform that:-
1) though form no. 15g submitted and acknowledged by bank, i am surprised and shocked to notice that rs.2285/- had been deducted as income tax, for the financial year ending 31/3/17.
2) it is to submit that, i am not coming under income tax, as my income for the said period is not above rs.2.50 lakh.

I have contacted branch manager shree hiren. H. Lakhani at chhani road branch no. (04917) on date 10/7/2017 at 11:47 am, who intern told me to come at 6pm. Visited at 6 pm and requested to solve the problem.
To my surprise, beside to solve my problem shree lakhani had argued that:-
1) you might have not filled up form no. 15g
2) that, it is already declared by putting stamp on your fd papers that in case if interest is over rs10, 000 then you have to pay income tax.
3) in this way it is clear and i can’t help you.
Informed to the bank manager that, the applicants earning for the financial year p. E. 31/03/2017 does not come in any way under income tax limit. Therefore the question to deduct income tax at the source of income does not stand good. Also requested for refund.
Beside to help, the manager had guided to approach to the income tax department for refund. When i have stated that it takes a long time beside to pay tax consultant fees and who will bare? Then the bank manager stated that, it for you to bare whole expanses and i can’t help you more.
In view of above, i do hereby request to the concerned authority that:-
1) why should, as a customer i have to suffer financial loss as well as mental agony?
2) will the bank authority take a necessary action against the defaulter?
3) may kindly decide the action to stop such a re-occurrence in future.
4) will the bank pay me, my financial loss at first, and may adjust with income tax department.
Hope for favorable reply with request not to treat my letter as a complaint, but as a guideline for future.
