I, Akshata Mallya having a saving account (Acc No. [protected]) at State Bank Of Patiala, Malad west, link road branch, had applied for ECS for my LIC policy(Policy No.[protected] Jeevan Saral) which had been duely stamped and agreed upon in the month of July 2014. But it was notified from LIC that for 7 months (from July to January2015)no deduction of my premium amounting to Rs 2858/- per month inspite of having sufficient balance, thus i have been slapped with a fine from LIC and asked to pay the entire amount of premium for 7 months.
On clarifications from LIC and the bank staff we have got to know that the bank staff had failed to update the ECS request in their software.
I, being self employed, would not want to cough up such a big amount for a fault of someone else.
The staff at State Bank Of Patiala, Malad west, link road branch is so busy in gossiping and catering to their lethargy that they have admitted to not updating the details in the system but are not having the nerve to give the same in writing.
It is utterly shamefull that inspite of having International Banks we have chosen our Nationalised Bank and this is the kind of service and laid back attitude is what we get in the name of so called "service".
I, demand that the Bank authorities take up this matter on a priority basis and pay up for the panalty LIC has slapped me with. Was this information helpful? |
