So on Oct 6th, Tata Cliq initiated a refund for order id:[protected]. The original payment method was cash on delivery and for refund I gave my Federal bank account details.
Since i did not get a refund, i raiseda complaint and the response i got was reference number[protected] and also a statement saying that if I don't receive the refund within 3-4 business days, i should raise a chargeback request and dispute the transaction as the refund not processed.
The bank will then follow up with the payment processor to locate the refund.
So I called Fed bank to rasie a chargeback request on 18th Nov and they asked me to give a call back on monday.
Today i called them back and they are telling me no refund has been intiated. In order to raise a charge back request, they need some proof of refund (apart from the reference number as that is apparently useless). Idk what they did on Friday and how they came to the conclusion that refund has not been received to the bank but anyway, I called TataCliq and asked for some proof and all they have is the reference number. Cannot give any more information as everything was handled by the finance teams.
