I had been using a Tata Credit Card for past several years, being a Tata firm employee myself. However, about 1.5 years ago, my card was replaced by Tata Credit Card company, as there was some issue with the loyalty no of my previous Card. However, ever since this new Card was issued to me, I have been unable to use it for ANY online transaction / payment. I have shared the screen-shot with their Customer Care a dozen times over the past year or so, and each time I am assured the issue will be resolved but it remains unresolved for over an year. I have also escalated the matter to their Head on [protected]@tatacard.com but with no response from them either.
Strangely, I was able to successfully use the Card at Croma and Westside in the past year, but NONE of my online payment attempts were successful. I have stopped using the Tata Credit Card for an year since this issue came up and use my other Credit / Debit Cards for online payments.
Over the years I have realized that Tata products and services have gone from bad to worse (my own experience with their products like Tata Credit Card, Tata Sky, etc. has been unpleasant, to put it mildly). Hence, would forewarn prospective customers to avoid opting for Tata Credit Card. This is actually managed by SBI-Cards, but unlike SBI Credit Cards, you can redeem points only at Tata Partner outlets, not online or elsewhere. And often I have found that the Reward Points redemption EDC machine at Tata Card Partner outlets isn't functioning, and I have lost my reward points on 'expiry'.
I am disappointed that this once-respected Tata Group has become so customer-unfriendly over the years. Good luck to them !
