Dear sir/madam,
This is with great disappointment i am writing to you about the deception meted out to us by tata motors. Myself dr saubhik das, writing on behalf of my mother mrs. Kabita das. We had purchased tata tiago revetron xt last year (March, 2018) from lexican motors, mongalbari, malda, west bengal; the car is registered in my mother’s name, the registration no is wb 84b 0640. We had very high expectations about tata, particularly about this tiago car; moreover, it suited out budged. Hence, despite not so good reputation of tata, we proceeded with this car with our little hard earned money. Needless to say, tata never fail to disappoint; why i am saying so? Yes, after few months, our car started showing problems. Sometimes it was a problem of suspension creating noise, or sometimes it was the faulty breaking system. Therefore, we had to take out car multiple times to the showroom cum service centre here (Lexican motors) for repair. I think you would understand how it feels to see multiple problems in your new car, bought with our hard earned money, within just one year. We naturally felt let down, disappointed and devastated; but, had no other option but to continue like this. However, for last 6 months it was running ok. But, the best deception was yet to get revealed in this festive season; totally unexpected, despicable incident happened.
Today morning (07/10/2019), the front right tyre got broke. The leak was repaired but it did not persist and got leaked again during travel. Hence, we had to proceed with changing the tyre with the spare tyre provided in car. And, here it comes; during changing the tyre, we noticed with great shock that the spare tyre provided by the showroom in our brand new car is totally different. It is of separate company, of separate dimension and width. Can you believe it? We got appalled. We confess it was a “brand new tyre”, why i am saying this because it is totally new, was placed in the boot exactly in the same condition as it was when purchasing this car. I believe no one, i repeat, no one would ever imagine of this deception ever. We too were oblivious that this kind of incident might happen. During purchase, we just checked that everything in car was in place. We failed to exactly and accurately note down the details, width and specification of the spare tyre; in fact, no one does. I have also one suzuki swift car, 4 years old; and it is still running ok without any single technical defect. Now i know why people trust suzuki so much. Now tell me what to do now; can you imagine what kind of stressed we are in now? This kind of deception is reprehensible, despicable, and outrageous. I don’t know who is at fault, the tata motors or the lexican motors, but it happened and we are totally devastated and appalled. However, we had no other option but to fit this spare tyre, which is different from the other three tyres, and to continue like this. Don’t know what would happen on road; may be it would compromise car safety and balance. We will take our car to the showroom “lexican motors” to bring it to their notice to readdress our problem. It needs to be solved. Tata motors - don’t disappoint now. People will lose whatever little trust you gained. Please solve the issue and do the needful so that similar incidents don’t happen with others. May be it is happening with others also, but unless the spare tyre is used, no one will notice this deceit by tata. Please take necessary action to bring the culprits under book; solve our concerns and exchange the wrong tyre. Details provided below:
