Tata Play — Tata Binge Package Activated and Amount deducted without consent

I am a subscriber of Tata Play, erswhile Tata Sky. A new package was offered over phone which I didnot accept. Received an sms that Tata Binge services package worth Rs 249 has been added on 05.08.2023 and the amount deducted. I noticed the same on 06.08.2023 and immediately called the customer care - the response was that I had activated the same through my mobile and I should cancel the same through app/website. Incidentally I do not have the Tata Play app in my mobile not did I activate it. I cancelled the same through their website. Today the customer care personnel called and state that they have received the cancellation request and the same will be dropped only after 05.09.2023 (1 month) and the money cannot be refunded. They are insisting that I had subscribed for the same, which is not at all true. Request your advise on the same. Though amount is nominal nut I want to voive my concern against this malpractise.
