I am a regular reader of hindu (About 9 years). I subscribed for hindu tamil edition (Annual subscription) and i paid the amount rs.999 last week of november 2017. I was supposed to get newspaper from dec 1, 2017. I also got the confirmation message for the same and they called me to verify my address too; but i did not get newspaper from dec 1, 2017. I started calling customer care of hindu. They compromised me with different reasons for not delivering the newspaper. I waited with my extreme patience till 9th of december, 2017. After that i raised for refund my full amount since i dont beleive their words anymore. I talked to different customer service executives in chennai named, sunitha, sangeetha, etc. I also talked to the customer care manager mr. Mohanraj. He assured me that i will get refund in 7 days. I waited again for 7 days and then called the customer care to know the status of my refund complaint. They told it will take 15 days to get refund since it is a lengthy process. I waited for 15 days and then i called customer care again. They asked me to wait for 7 days again. Is it the way you treat you consumer like these? I never got to know hindu services this much bad before. Again i got a call from hindu (First time i am getting call from hindu, usually i call them), stating that i will get newspaper from 3rd january 2018 onwards. Come on, my complaint is to refund my money since i am completely fed of your services and the way you treat your consumer. Why do i need your paper anymore? Its been 40 days i am not getting newspaper for which i already paid annual premium amount rs.999. You do not need to deliver paper but at least you have to give my money back. I gave enough time and waited patiently. The lady who talked to me work in mogappair hindu branch. At last, she said we wil refund you if your refund request is accepted. What the rubbish is this? Another word she gave is "if refund is initiated for you, we will detect 1 month of subscrition money from rs.999 and the remaining we will give it to you." again, what kind of service you are giving, i paid the amount for newspaper and you are not delivering newspaper for 40 days and you are gona detect money for those 40 days and give my remaining money. What is the system for? Is it for you profit? I demand the explanation and my money back. I am ready to face in consumer court but being a loyal consumer, i patiently waited for you actions.

    I had renewed the service for one month and it was supposed to start from 1st jan 2018. I am not being delivered the newspaper.
    When i raised a complaint, i was told i'll get a call back and i never did.
    The person in charge of subscription in bangalore office near hsr layout, mr. Santhosh, is not attending to my calls either.

        I renewed the yearly subscription on 30th september 2017. My subscription id is [protected].

        I'm not receiving the newspaper from 31st of december and when i reached the distributor he said my name is not listed in the sheet that he received from the hindu.

        This is the second time i'm facing this issue of not receiving the newspaper for the above mentioned reason within the current subscription period.

        This is not fair for the consumers like me to continue the subscription on yearly basis.
        Please take the necessary actions and make sure the same issue doesn't repeat.

          I am a subscriber and follower of the hindu newspaper for considerable time. It is good newspaper but why the the hindu forcing us to pay extra money in the name of providing special section as in today's newspaper there is an additional cover price of ₹4 for special section turning point. I want to know about your policy/permission according to which you are allowed charge additional cost, issuing special section, without customers consent

            I have not received the tamil hindu news paper from 21 12 2017 onwards. On enquiry with the distributor he says that my name has not been listed in the supply. I have paid subscription in the yearly scheme as early as september through corporation bank, tirunelveli. The paper was supplied till 20 12 2017.
            They stopped abruptly. They say that the hindu has stopped supply for you. Is it true? Look into this matter and solve this. Supply me the paper from 21 12 2017. Or if not possible refund me the subscription.

              Kindly return the subscription amount of rs 999 immediately.
              Hope for the hindu newspaper is very reputed one and such do not care attitude

                Dear sir/ madam,
                I had made a extension of my subscription of the hindu tamil paper for another year, i recieved my paper for only "12days"... And i gave complaint like more than "5 timess".. I see no rectification of my complaint.. Everytime they say "it wil get rectified by tommorrow", but its not... I am tired of giving further call& complaints... So i would like to stop my subscription and requesting my money back...

                Kindly make them stop my subscription and return my money as soon as possible.. I cant make anymore complaints... Please do look into this issue asap... Thanks..

                  I have paid annual subscription for the daily news paper vide cheque no:, 825411 dt.15/06/2016 and the order no: hyd567919, date of implementation 01/07/16.

                  Regret to inform you that our delivery boy informed today that today onwards for the annual subscribers the paper will not be delivered as informed to him by sri g. Srinivas pre code:cd040011, centre code: 2084061 and drop point code 2084061.

                  Kindly look into this issue and see that the news paper is delivered to us with immediate effect.

                  Being a retired and senior citizen i spend time in reading news paper and fond of the hindu news paper when comnpared to other papers.

                                Hi, i subscribed for hindu young world. After multiple follow ups 1st copy was delivered to me after 1.5 months of subscription. Thereafter for every copy i have to exchange calls and emails with them and then only they sent further copy. I have opted for annual subscription and i regret seeing their poor delivery and customer care.
                                Their customer care system can not even track the payment and the subscription#. Every time you make the call to call center, you need to start from scratch. Pathetic pathetic.

                                I am suppose to get a complimentry bag though you charged extra for complimentry!? i have not received the same.
                                several times i comlained to customer care but nothing happened. Please see that the bag be delivered immmediatly or arrange to refund the amount which you have charged for complimentry bag

                                  I am an annual subscriber (Sub. Code [protected]) for the past many years.in sept. 2016 i had moved to gottigere area, b. G. Road. Because of the area change, almost three weeks the supply of news paper did not happened, which is understandable, even though 3 weeks delay is quite unreasonable.

                                  16th october 2016 the annual subscription had been renewed until 15th oct.. 2017. Through out this period, every month i had been deprived of average six (6) days news paper by the news paper agency.in fact i had fed up complaining to the toll-free number, average twice a month.

                                  16th oct. 2017 cur;rent subscription renewed by paying rs. 899/-, and the same situation continued, my complaints also continued.

                                  The present situation is that for the last 10 days the supply of daily news paper is completely discontinued by the newspaper agency.

                                  I am getting very poor response from the customer care complaints and the responsible persons of the publishers.

                                      Call center promised subscription start from 1-november-17, based on which i made complete annual subscription payment. They inadvertently delayed subscription start date to 16-nov-17 and further didn't start the delivery till date ie 20-nov.
                                      Customer center service is pathetic and no response on emails also. Refund they are delaying to 2months. This isn't expected and is disappointing, unbusinesslike.

                                        It looks like that hindu is not paying service charges to the delivery agent. Hence all salem agents stopped supplying news paper to the personals who apply through net.???

                                        No body is answering tel[protected] as advised in sms.

                                        I am not sure is hindu functioning regarding complaints.

                                        Very very poor system.

                                        If hindu is not interested to supply news paper please repay the money to my account.
