The New India Assurance Co. — Unethical behaviour

I bought a Nokia handset from an Nokia authorized dealer in Rewari, Haryana on 21st of October, 2014. I also bought an Insurance Policy of New India Assurance Co. Ltd.. On 27th of May my mobile slipped from my hand and its screen got cracked.The display was working properly but then outer most part of touch screen was not working.I claimed for damage repair in insurance company.Then the company asked for the original bill and policy documents and a claim form along with the damaged handset. On 8th of June, 2015, an executive picked up the device from my home and gave me a receipt which is attached with this mail.On 29th of July i received a mail from that my claim reference number [protected] has been approved for total loss despite fine condition of the device expect the touch penal and company asked for the other parts of the handset i.e. box, back cover, battery with my account details to pay me INR 3000/- to settle the claim . I have not sent any salvage to the insurance company as i want my device repaired .
