I have been using my current mobile number since last 10 years. Despite being a genuine person my number has been listed as 'spam' by 17 people on truecaller. I have attempted unlisting my number from truecaller numerous times (https://www.truecaller.com/unlist) but nothing happened - even after several months o[censored]nlisting attempts.
I then lodged an official complaint with truecaller but they are saying that they cannot do anything. Since then i have had multiple e-mail conversations with them but they are not ready to pay any heed to my requests.
This is really frustrating that a genuine and non-spam number is listed as spam and when i try unlisting, nothing happens. My number is still there in truecaller database despite removing my account, deleting the app and clearing the cache.
This clearly a case of defaming a genuine caller and i believe that the law doesn't allow anyone to defame a genuine person without any substance.
I would appreciate if my complaint against truecalller can be taken up seriously and a solution be provided. I'm an india citizen who pays tax and has all the documents which prove that i'm a genuine person, and not a fraud/spam. Was this information helpful? |
