I booked Uber from Agra to Gurgaon on 6th April - payment mode Paytm. At destination, the App did not close the trip. The driver insisted that in his App the payment mode is Cash. He promised to return the cash in case later, when the system function properly, if he gets paid through Paytm also. I paid fare in cash. Later, I found that my Paytm account also has been debited for the fare. Uber help has no human interface and responses are robotic. Needless to say that the driver does not pick up the phone.
UBER help has given credit of Rs300 only and say that nothing else can be done. It has not taken into account that there was problem in Uber system due to which the trip did not close at destination to show me mode of payment. The driver took advantage of it and said that the payment mode is cash and asked me to pay fare in cash. He promised me to refund the cash in case he gets paid by Paytm also. I paid cash Rs 2200 fare in cash in addition to toll tax and state tax. I didn't want him to stay back till Uber app close my trip. Later I found that your app deducted Rs 2200 from Paytm and the driver has no intention to refund. His owner phone number [protected]. He does not pick up the calls
It is CLEAR CASE OF CHEATING IN WHICH Uber SYSTEM HELPED him.
