Yesterday[protected] i placed an order with zomato at 4:24 pm from le ga teau - the cake shop of value rs. 946.
The cake was meant for delivery to a friend in bangalore for his birthday. At 4:27 on zomato chat support i shared the conatct of the concerned person for delivery, which the zomato executive communicated has been updated.
At 5:38 pm i received the first call from the delivery executive, who was unaware of where he is to go. I took my friend on conference call and we explained him the route.
He next called at 5:40 pm and started not replying to any of our questions as to where is her, or has he reached the location. The phone was handed over to a nearby local, to whom we explained the route, who thereafter guided the delivery guy. At 5:49 pm he again called, acting completely lost. At 6:13 zomato chat support tried calling him and couldnt reach (Attaching screenshot). Finally after sometime, my friend reached out to him on his personal number and somehow managed to get the parcel. The delivery executive couldnt communicate or even converse properly. The ordeal was raised on zomato chat support, who themselves couldnot reach the delivery executive, and as a solution offered help by providing me a meal? What is that resolution!!!
After the delivery, the delivery executive asked for payment, even though the cake was paid for online. My friend had to explain and read the bill to him and make him understand that the bill is cleared, and debate that over 5 mins.
Post this, when he reached back home the cake was completely spilled on one side. (Attaching photo of the same). As i personally was travelling for work, and dint have adequate net i couldnt immediately raise a complaint. Today i raised it on chat support again, who directed me to the email.
On his birthday, we thereafter ordered another cake from the same place and used dunzo app for pick up and delivery and ended up spending another rs. 967 due to the complete negligence and unprofessional delivery executive of zomato.
Kindly resolve and give a satisfactory solution to the havoc caused yesterday for over 2-2.5 hours becuase of your employees. I have been a loyalo zomato gold user, but this experience has made me rely on dunzo at least in bangalore!
