I have received an email from the airlines on 25.10.24 informing the following:

We understand that your travel plans will be affected. Kindly allow us to help you at the earliest by choosing one of the following service recovery options.
1. One-time free flight change: You can choose a new travel date within 7 days on the same route without any additional cost, subject to seat availability. You can make changes easily through Tia at airindiaexpress.com or on WhatsApp at +91 [protected].
2. Full refund: You can request a refund through Tia at airindiaexpress.com or on WhatsApp at +91 [protected]. We will process your refund within 7 days to the source of your booking.

FOLLOWING IS MY REPLY CUM COMPLAINT
Dear Sir,
I understand that option 1 is not applicable for me ...hy towards him. A decision by the airlines to cancel the tickets without offering to arrange for the journey by any other flights of a different airline is not acceptable. As a customer it appears that the Airindia Express accepts the fare in advance from the passengers, enjoys the money collected thereby, then at the eleventh hour cancels the flight and offers for refund of the fare without providing for an alternate journey. It appears that the airlines is not in the mood of enjoying customers trust and belief, rather is more interested in enjoying the fares collected from them. I hope, the good sense will prevail and the airline will change its cancellation policy as well as stop the act of misleading customers giving false information wilfully and be more customer friendly.
Considering above, I request you to refund me the ticket fare along with market rate of interest from the date of buying the tickets till the date of actual refund - at the earliest.
