Alliance Air — Refund of ticket

My flight from Shillong to Aizawl on the 27th August 2022 was cancelled by the airlines. Had booked my tickets through MakeMyTrip and have even submitted a refund request with the travel pirtal and the airlines too. The response i recieved was that the refund would be done by September 11-13 and now it's been deferred again to October 6-11. The flight was cancelled by the airlines and not by me and i even have an endorsed ticket signed by the Station Manager of Shillong Airport granting me a full refund. So, why all this delay over a measly sum of 6000₹+ ???
