This is with regards to apple i-phone 8 model no mq6m2hn/a, gold, 64 gb, month of manufacturing nov'2017, that i bought on 11th feb'2018. I would like to bring to your notice that i bought i-phone 8 yesterday i. E 11th feb'2018 at 8:00 pm. It was a gift on valentines and birthday for my husband and when i gifted him, the moment he opened and started the phone to click the first picture o[censored]s with the beautiful gift, to our surprise the camera was defective. The rear view has some kind of rainy effect. The whole mood was spoiled as well as the valentine occasion for which i had bought. Such an error on part of apple company is not expected.
My entire charm and emotions were lost as i had saved money for months to gift this surprise which turned into a nightmare. It made me think that how could world's best company could have such a major manufacturing defect. The company that claims of being customer friendly and giving the best quality product could do such errors. This shows that the quality check points have some major drawbacks which the quality head needs to look into. This way the company will loose its customer retention and loyalty. This a major negligence on the aql (Acceptable quality level) being followed by the organisation.
Further on 12th feb'2018 i went to the apple care solutions asking for replacement where they denied the replacement of my new phone and said that only camera part will be rectified which will further take 7-8 days. My husband did not even used the phone.
I just want to ask the authorities that if a new phone has defective part that shows that there will be more defects in the making of the product.
I would also like to apprise that this has further created loss of trust i had in the company.
Myself being a teacher of marketing and management use to give case studies and example of apple company in terms of quality and customer retention but somehow the faith in the company has gone down.
I would request the authorities to kindly compensate for my loss by an upgraded version of the phone i. E i-phone x so that i can rebuild the faith and trust.
For the reference of authorities i am attaching a copy of bill and repair slip which are on consecutive days along with the problem of the camera.
