Hi this is heena patel from mumbai... I bought macbook air 13th inch on 15th feb 2018 from amazon.
On 21th august 2018 my macbook was not getting started and immediately i reported to macbook customer service they suggested me few key combination and they tried to resolve the issue but everything was in vain... I went to service center on same day they told me that your version is not updated this is the reason your macbook is hanging up they told me to take the backup and visit again... Next day i visited again they updated the version n told me to use for 2...3 days n let them know if same thing happens again... After 2 days same this happened again and they told me that it's a hardware issue you need to submit your macbook... I submitted my macbook and after 6 to 7 working days they give me back... After that for 20 days it's was working fine... And suddenly on 17th september 2018 my macbook was not getting started immediately i reported to apple service center they told me to charge your macbook for 2 to 3 hours but still it was not getting start... The same day i went to service center i submitted my macbook again within a month again they told me that it's a hardware issue and they will return it back after 4 working days... Here my question is when the first time
When they changed the motherboard for the first time then why after 20 days they have to change it again
My macbook is in warranty hardly before 7 months i bought it and the macbook air is a premium brand this kind of quality was not expected... There is a fault in the product and they are not agree to replace the product... I am doing a job and also doing part time mba student... On 17th september i told them that i have an exam on 28th & 29th september and requested them to give me as soon as possible they committed me to give after 4 working days... After that also one of their senior customer service executive his name is “satish” i requested him to provide at least stand by device for my educational purpose but he refused my request and told me to wait for next 15 to 20 days boz apple don’t have the motherboard in stock so i have to wait for more 15 to 20 days.
1. I had not paid 60, 000 to face this kind of problem... I am doing a job i paid them my 5 months savings.
2. At least 4 times i went to service center by taking early leave from my office i lost my 2 days salary.
3. They did not left any choice instead of wait and tension even they are not ready to give replacement of my product.
4. I do not have any other laptop for study i am worried for my exams which is in next 5 days.
5. Apple have a worldwide supply chain why don’t they keep their macbook parts in stock why customer have to wait and why customer have to suffer bcoz of their supply chain…and again my product is in warranty still i have to suffer.
6. Before 20 days only i extended the warranty for next 2 years by paying 18000 i decided to stay with apple product for more 2 and a half year so almost 78000 i have invested for this product and in return i am just getting lot of pain and tension.
Here my question is from when apple has started to provide such a lower quality product???
Why they have to change the motherboard twice a month???
Why customer service don't understand and don't support student’s problems???
This was my first apple product and i will never ever forget this experience bcoz it gave me so much tension and pain during my exams... Apple company only knows how to sell their product. They just want us to roam from customer care to serive centre and service centre to point of purchase.
I would request consumer forum take a action against apple and give replacement product or refund.
