1) purchased two ipads from reliance digital cin no: u01100mh1999rlc120563, dated 080615 & cin no: u01100mh1999plc120563, dated 190915.
2) the first one is fine but the second one had a bent like structure from the time we bought but did not bother as kids get excited with ipads
3) the #2 in question fell on the floor and there was a tiny crack which when taken to an aptronix store was verified for its apple id and for some reason the device was locked
4) the guy examined and gave us a number to call. While in a hurry i provided the serial number which was barely visible to the customer support exec
5) the rep told me to go to a service and they would take pictures of the ipad to determine physical damage
6) when i visited an aptronix, i was told that the icloud locked the device and needs to be unblocked. I called the support again and a ticked was logged with case id:[protected]
7) the support asked me to provide invoice/bill which was scanned & zipped in a rar format. When called as a follow up, was told to send in a winzip format and was done
8) a week passed and there was no response. When visited the aptronix, was adviced to file a complain
9) finally, the fact around taking pictures was completely forgotten, was told the device while under warranty, needs rs25, 000 to fix it
The issue here is:
A) why are customers treated like theives and blocking their ipad account tied up to device (Icloud as shown by aptronix)
B) the serial number is barely visible on a much serious note
C) without taking pictures & analyzing the case, i am asked to pay 25k while under warrantly for a device which had a curvature from the time of purchase
D) why are customers being punished with repeated trips and delayed response and also as the administrative work for parents whose kids own ipads. Like managing apple accounts etc...
E) the deprival of an ipad for a kid is another nightmare for parents & they need to deal with it and unfortunately we cannot buy devices each year while under warranty.
