I bought iphone in may 2015 from amazon (i have original invoice). it worked fine for 1 year 2 months. for last 2 weeks, i am not able to make/receive call. sim gets detected intermittently. even if it gets detected, i am not able to make/receive call.
I took it to apple service center. they tried to reset network settings and also restored ios in my phone. but still after this, phone is not detecting sim.
Now apple india is not ready to repair this phone and asking for rs. 24400 for replacing this phone.
Please note there is no liquid or nay kind of damage. (same is confirmed by apple service center).
I understand that phone is out of warranty, but as consumers, do we expect this kind of quality from apple? even chinese phone works for this long. what are we paying a premium price for if apple will have such hardware manufacturing issues? why a customer should be penalised for apple's mistake?
