I have Apple iPhone XS MAX 256GB mobile. For my mobile, FaceID was working good before updating iOS version, but after upgrading to new software version FaceID and True Tone display stopped working .
It’s very annoying to use this device without FaceID and entering the passcode every time. And using without passcode, there will be a security issues.
To get this fix, I have visited nearby Apple store and try to follow some fixes which are suggested by their representative, like format the factory settings and restore with iTunes, update with latest iOS, but it didn’t worked .
Then they have diagnosed my device, and found FaceID failed for diagnostic & informed me that it’s not reparable and also your phone not fall in warranty so only option is to change the device by paying for the exchange amount of 62, 000 INR.
That is ridiculous like we update their version and they make us to pay for software issues created by them.
Disappointed with the solution, as this issue generated by their software update and now they are asking for paying replacement of device.
It’s not like only my device have this type of issue, but on the internet I have seen there are lots o[censored]ser have registered complaint for FaceID issue with this series device.
I want this to be repair by Apple or if not reparable then need my device replacement with free of cost. Was this information helpful? |
