I purchased a mba 13" in jan 2017 from reliance digital. It worked fine until 29th september 2018 and as usual i just close the lid and went to sleep on 29th night and next day morning when i tried to start mba, it didn't start. I thought it may be due to low charge. I tried every possible option like resetting smc, hard resetting smc and all but no luck. When called to apple customer care they also tried same and advised to visit service center for physical diagnosis. I he booked an appointment with icare in elements mall in bengaluru for 1st october. I deposited laptop and icare collected 1700 as service advance and told me they need more time to troubleshoot and collected my mba.
After one day on 3rd, i received a mail from icare stating they tried all possible troubleshooting and concluded that it might be logic board issue and quoted 46, 549/- to replace logic board.
We buy apple products because we trust in their reliability and durability of the products. Now within 1.8 year it failed and they are charging more than 70% of the price of new macbook to repair logic board again which comes with a warranty of just 90 days.
Icare is not sure about the logic board is failed with short period of time.
I need justice for my hard earned money, i want to proceed legally against apple india.
