Apple IPod — No service available nor replacement

dear sir / madam we purchased Apple Ipod 8GM Nano & 30 GB Classic in 2007 when i was in Dubai. The same was having problem like battery discharge. Then i approached one of the IStore in chennai recently. But they took the unit and returned me after two days saying this can't be repairable nor replacement. i was really shocked such Apple company does not have system
