I purchased a water purifier from the above company that got installed on 08/04/2016 and the warranty according to the warranty card is till 08/04/2018.
At the time of purchase, I was promised that a comprehensive maintenance including spare parts is covered under the warranty but every time they came for service, I was charged either saying there is a filter that needs to be replaced or they'll put some crystal balls in the filter which are charged at Rs.300. I was okay with all these.
Today I called them for a service because it was service due. The service engineer attended and informed me that the membrane needs to be changed and it will cost Rs.2000 when I inquired about warranty he called their office and had someone speak to me who told me that according to their records, the warranty is expiring in another 10 days and since it is such a short time, the membrane will be chargeable.
10 days or 1 month, warranty period is warranty period secondly, why is there a mismatch in the records? the warranty card I have says that the warranty is valid till 2018. Whatever be the case, if the product is under warranty, how can a company not oblige to attend to the fault.
How do I proceed a legal suite with this company?
