I am a resident of house number 7, lane number 16, Vivekananda Road, Silchar Assam. For work purpose i stay in a different location in India leaving my old parents back here at my hometown. Recently while on vacation i discovered that my service line has a joint and the meter too is in a very unsafe condition. I immediately deposited the money on behalf of my mother Mrs. Lakshmi Das, old consumer number[protected] since the connection is by her name for the rectification and installation job to APDCL (Assam Power Distribution Company Limited) along with an application on 27.09.16 and requested them to rectify the same at the earliest. Though they rectified the service line on 28.09.16 but my meter box has not been changed (old mechanical type) and still remains in a very unsafe condition and susceptible to tempering which may cause trouble at any moment. Therefore, i request the state owned agency through this forum to install a new digital meter at the earliest to avoid any incident or accident.
