I had swiped my debit card in a swiping machine (Not atm) at "okay diagnostic center jaipur" for an amount of rs. 7900 on 22 may 2017 this amount was deducted from my account balance however the transaction failed and the merchant did not received the money. So in this respect i called the customer support of bank of baroda and had filed a complaint with complaint no.[protected] on 25 may 2017 they were saying that this process takes a time of around 40-50 days as it is a matter of money this is not acceptable. So i called 2-3 times and had a word with :-
1) shanti lal (Assistant manager)
2) deepika dutta (Assistant manager)
3) naveen chandra
They all had committed that they will call back and will let me know the status of my money but i did not receive any call from anyone of them. There are some points to be considered:-
1) money should be returned to the account within a week's time.
2) what about the interest which is to be paid by the bank on this amount.
3) according to rbi any failed transaction done by debit card should be settled within a week's time if bank fails to settle this amount within a week then a penalty of rs. 100 every day should be paid by the bank so be ready for that.
It has been around 40 days since this incidence still haven't received any money seek help from consumer forum in this respect
