[Resolved] Bata India — Poor product quality. Sandals torn on the day of purchase

Hi, I bought a pair of sandals worth Rs800 at the Bata showroom in Thoraipakkam, Chennai. The sandals were torn by the time I reached home from the shop in car(about 45mins). When I had called the shop they said they would exchange the pair. When I took it back to the shop, they said they cannot exchange it but can serice it. I gave it for service and it came back, tampered, dirtied and looking like an year old sandals. Now I suspect that they are selling fake products with Bata's brans name. Can someone from Bata India address this please? Thanks!!
