I, Mr.Biswajit Chatterjee, Debangan Apt., 21/1 B.B.ROAD, DumDum, Kolkata-700079, contact no [protected] had purchased a shoe model no ADRIEN as on 8th August'2014 from BATA INDIA LIMITED, 1/A DAKSHINAYAN, BARASAT ROAD, SODEPUR, KOLKATA-700110 REF cash memo attached with this mail.
Keeping into mind the impression of BATA since my school days I visited the sodepur store to buy a shoe as mentioned. The following situation happened with me at the time of buying as on 08.08.2014 by cash and complaining at store after sale on 24.09.2014 :
Situation No.1: Sales person attended me to suggest this model which is made of leather and get replacement from any BATA store if any manufacturing defect. But the person who is standing on the cash counter rectified that if there is any manufacturing defect like sole is detached will replaced from same store only. Not possible from other store. This should not happened such kind of Brand. Even in front of customer the person treat his staff like wild animal. This is amazing!!!
I was little confused whether I came into the right store or not, as my past experience is something different. Still I bought the shoe.
Situation No.2: After using of one month and 16days I have a horrible experience which is never happened before with BATA product and it is more wonder while visit store to register the complain. No greeting, not bother to attend customer, even asking for registering complain. Skin of shoes comes out like happened in winter season with human being. while asking why it is happened with leather shoe, as it is never happened with earlier shoes since 42 years. The person named Mr.Bappa Saha(wearing uniform) is raising his voice and given an example that it may happened and compared with some other brand like TITAN ( if you buy a spectacle amounted Rs.7000 it may happened). I do not understand how can the person behave like this.
It is more wonder while I came to know that the product is not made of leather. The person, at cash counter react like " who said this, the shoe is made of leather" . I answered him the person who attend at the time of selling the shoe to me( I finger out the person, wearing uniform who attended me). Then the person said that the said person is new in system and do not know the product material (then how can a person attend the customer, who do not have product knowledge like BATA) no the shoe is not made of leather. The person standing on the cash counter may be Mr.Uttam Biswas as mentioned in cash memo, aggressively react and threat me "why are you asking his name, to whom you want to complain, then go there & resolve it"(APNI OR NAM JENE KI KORBEN, KAKE COMPLAIN KORBEN, JAN JEKHANE COMPLAIN KARAR KARUN R OKHAN THEKE COMPALIN SOLVE KORE NIN)( while asking the name of the person who is given the brand comparison).
After facing all the above situation I have decided that I never exchange my shoe against this manufacturing defect. For that asking the validity date to claim for replacement, the person(may be Uttam Biswas casual dress wear not in uniform) replied 10th october'2014.
Hence the conclusion is that I have been cheated from some unprofessional, disqualified persons under BATA BRAND.
I do not want any replacement against this cheating, please arrange for refund of my cash spent for buying the shoe. My intention is that to prove them not to underestimate & misbehave with the customer while you are working under the such kind world renowned brand, where this brand is globally create a benchmark. I hope my claim would be resolved at the earliest and no need to register complain at consumer forum.
I expect a positive reply at your end at the earliest.
